#38 -The Van Roggen Cabin

From the book written in 1998....

'Twas a wet and stormy weekend when the Trader IV dropped anchor in Buccaneer Bay. George and Diana had been plying the BC coast for several summers, babies and dogs in tow.

On this particularly damp day Diana was finding two cooped-up toddlers and a frisky spaniel a real boat-load when she suddenly remarked to her husband: 'George, don't we know someone in one of the cottages here?? Sure enough, through the long arm of the law perhaps, they did.

And so it came to pass that the sodden little family arrived at Jim and Bobbie Macdonald's cottage. While Bobbie plied everyone with steaming bowls of chicken soup (forty years later Diana remembered 'I've never been so grateful for anything in my life!?) Jim told George of a site for sale between the Leigh and Jack cottages.

The decision was easy and instantly made; and so the VanRoggens had really arrived at Buccaneer Bay to stay.
