My cabin was built in the early 20's by Margaret Reid, a sister of Jean Davidson (mother of Gordon Davidson).  Margaret married the farmer Mr  McCullough in the 30's.  He has  always been spoken of and remembered as Mac.

 

My husband and I bought the cottage from Margaret McCullough in 1945. We were very grateful for this unexpected opportunity and privilege. For 53 years, it has remained the  source of tremendous pleasure for all the family.

 

At that time there was a cottage between the Davidsons' and Bennetts' built by Mr. Trydale, later sold to Tylers and lastly to Ashbys. That cottage was pulled down after the formation of Buccaneer Bay Holdings in 1964.
